I've been trying to get away from Google for a while, but I cannot get down with the iPhone. I like it, but I like Android much better (strangely, I'm ok with iPad and I love macOS). However, the privacy of Apples ecosystem is highly attractive.

I'm glad to see Apple is ramping up the competition, although I'm scared that this will exacerbate Google's tendency to kill off its services, as you've noted. Part of why I'm trying to get away.
